Terms of Service.
Last Updated: 11.09.26
By creating an account or using Reflect, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app. This applies to Reflect on the web (reflect.minimalmind.io) and on iOS as they are one account
1. Who we are
Reflect (https://reflect.minimalmind.io) is provided by Minimal Mind Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16043112).
Contact: support@minimalmind.io
2. What Reflect is
Reflect is a daily journaling app built around a single prompt. One question a day, one answer. That's the product.
We may add, change, or remove features over time. We'll try not to make things worse.
3. Eligibility
You must be 18 or older to use Reflect. By creating an account, you're confirming you meet this requirement.
4. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login details secure.
You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.
Tell us straight away if you think your account has been compromised: support@minimalmind.io.
5. Subscriptions and payment
Reflect is a paid subscription service. Full functionality requires an active, paid subscription.
Prices are shown at checkout and may change from time to time — we'll give notice before any change takes effect for existing subscribers.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
You can cancel at any time from within the app. Cancellation stops future billing; it doesn't refund the current period.
Refunds
Beyond your statutory right to cancel digital content orders within 14 days of purchase (where that content hasn't yet been accessed — see Section 6), we don't offer refunds. This is a standard subscription-software policy and applies to partial months, unused time, and change-of-mind cancellations alike.
If you stop paying
If your subscription lapses or is cancelled, your account moves to a read-only state:
- You keep access to your existing entries.
- You can export your data at any time (see Section 8).
- App functionality beyond viewing and exporting — including writing new entries — is disabled until you resubscribe.
We don't delete your data just because you've stopped paying.
6. Your right to cancel (UK consumer law)
Under UK consumer law, you normally have 14 days from purchase to cancel a digital content or service order for a full refund. Because Reflect gives you immediate access to the app on subscribing, you agree that this right ends as soon as you start using the app (i.e. once you write your first entry or otherwise access paid functionality) — a standard condition for instant-access digital services. Until that point, you can cancel within 14 days for a full refund by contacting support@minimalmind.io.
7. Your content
- You own what you write. Reflect claims no rights over your journal entries beyond what's needed to store, sync, and display them back to you.
- You're responsible for what you write. Don't use Reflect to store or share anything unlawful.
- We don't read your entries except where reasonably necessary — for example, to investigate abuse, respond to a support request you've raised, or comply with a legal obligation.
8. Your data
We collect:
- Personal data: name, email address, payment information (processed by our payment provider — we don't store card details ourselves).
- Non-personal data: web cookies, used for basic site functionality.
Full detail on what we collect, why, and your rights is in our Privacy Policy (https://reflect.minimalmind.io/privacy), which forms part of these Terms. You can export your journal data at any time, whether your subscription is active or lapsed.
9. Acceptable use
Don't:
- Use Reflect for anything unlawful.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the app or its infrastructure.
- Resell, sublicense, or share your account access with others.
- Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the app outside the normal export feature.
We can suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section.
10. Intellectual property
Reflect — the app, its design, branding, and underlying code — is owned by Minimal Mind Ltd. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond using the app as intended.
11. Availability
We aim to keep Reflect available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may need to take the app offline for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control.
12. Liability
Reflect is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law:
- We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app.
- Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be excluded under UK law (for example, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
13. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, with notice where reasonably possible.
On deletion, we'll remove your personal data in line with our Privacy Policy. Export your entries first if you want to keep them — deletion is permanent.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll email you before it takes effect. Continuing to use Reflect after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
